We offer Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine with a focus on perinatal health, from menstrual irregularities to fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care. Acupuncture is perfect for women in their reproductive age because it is safe, natural and effective at any stage of their pregnancy as well as for women who are breastfeeding. Common conditions that we treat in the clinic are: Irregular periods, Painful periods, and Infertility.

During pregnancy we treat women with Nausea, Fatigue, Hip Pain, Back Pain, Sciatica, Varicosities, Hemorrhoids, Insomnia, Headaches and much more. We also offer a series of Acupuncture sessions starting at 37 weeks called ” Cervical Ripening”, these treatments promote a soft ripe cervix and have been shown to reduce the rate of interventions during delivery as well as shortening the average duration of the first stage of delivery. Birth Support Doula

We are passionate about birth and honoured to share such a magnificent experience with our clients. As Doulas we get to meet prospective clients through an Interview first, here we answer any questions the couple may have about Doula Support and about us as a team. As part of our Doula Services we offer Prenatal home visits where we review prenatal education and techniques we may use to help you on your birthing day, if you are planning a home birth we also help you set up your home for the special day! In the weeks before your birth we provide unlimited phone and e-mail support if you have any questions or need any resources. Once you are in labour we will touch base with you every couple of hours and guide you through early labour, when you feel you need our hands-on support we will come over to your home or meet you at the hospital.

We stay with you the entire birth, providing physical, and emotional support to you and your partner. When the baby is born we will also take many pictures of your new family, and make sure you are comfortable and well fed, when you and the baby are ready we will help you start breastfeeding. What sets our team apart is that we always have Acupuncture available for you should you need it during the birth. We work as a team with Midwives, Nurses and Physicians to make your birth experience as safe, positive and enjoyable as we can! As your birth doulas we will support you in any decision that you make and advocate for you at all times, our goal is to provide you with all the tools and information you need to have a positive empowering birth.

This package includes unlimited Acupuncture staring at 37 weeks for cervical ripening and birth preparation, plus full birth support. Through the prenatal acupuncture sessions we get a chance to treat any discomfort in late pregnancy, encourage optimal fetal positioning, and prepare your body for birth. It is also a great way to get to know you better and establish a relationship of trust. Sessions typically last 1 hour, are open to you and your partner and are available 6 days a week. We strongly recommend the package as we have seen the positive effect it has on women’s births: fewer interventions, less complications and shorter durations.
